Hello my fellow Wineologists! I’m an experienced wine professional in the middle of my WSET Diploma wine studies, located in West Des Moines, IA. I’m a cat mama to Mouschi, a Maine Coon/Siberian mix and loyal study buddy. For the last 7 years, Mouschi and I have been powering through just about every wine certification I could get my hands on…CMS, IWP, VIA and finally the WSET. My journey into the wine world was a long and windy one, with multiple careers extending from Theatre Arts Management to Sports Media Production for NBCSports and ESPN. The connecting thread for my professional experience has always been the restaurant industry. It has funded every pursuit I’ve had since I was 16. In 2012, I found myself in New York City, pounding the starving artist pavement and Mandy Oser at Ardesia Wine Bar was kind enough to take a chance on me. In many ways, the rest is history. My years working for Mandy’s wine bar were the catalyst for a lifetime of curiosity for all things wine. As of today, I have been working for beverage wholesalers in On Premise fine wine sales for 6 ½ years and I have learned there is a bottle of wine for every person under the sun!

I created this space to cultivate an inclusive environment for wine enthusiasts and professionals in pursuit of wine knowledge to share the trials and triumphs of their respective journeys. You don’t need to be a Master Sommelier to appreciate wine and if my experience in wine education has taught me anything, it’s that even the best wine minds need a safe place to vent and regroup. I hope this can be a space that fosters curiosity and respect for wine lovers everywhere. I’m so happy you’re here!
